The Mind Of A Keyboard Warrior

So I was sitting around the other day wondering what goes on in the mind of a keyboard warrior. Why you ask? Well I was playing Diablo and this glitch happened when one of the corpses was hanging from the rafters. The first thing I thought is there is an idiot out there who would for some reason would jump all over the forums complaining how developers would let a game with a glitch make it live.

After I thought that, of course, I was wondering how someone could ever to pleased by doing such a thing. You get nothing out of it, the developers probably won't patch something so minor just to make some random keyboard warrior a happy camper. So then what?

Maybe they love the attention they get in some form or another. Or maybe when they patch something they will give you "the tool" a shout out in the patch notes. I would say not everyone is a red shirt guy even if they wish they can be. As for the attention ya I could buy that getting a rise out of people. To me though I would think that would get boring very quickly even for attention seekers.

So then what? Well I just came to the conclusion that people are just assholes and tools no matter what the cause of or motivation for. So really I guess this post ended up pointless because didn't we all know that already? Well I least I got something off my chest.

Swear To Me

Wednesday, which means list time. Now I was actually thinking long and hard about what to do my list on this week. When I realized I have never done on a list on the best story in a game. Now a great story can make a great game. Also a game with bad gameplay can also have a great story. So keep that in mind when going through the list.

5. Warcraft III

The rise and fall of Arthas along with the other stories introducing us to the Stormrage brothers and so on and so forth. This was an example of great storytelling and one I think everyone who knows anything about it makes it to film one day.

4. Red Dead Redemption

So criminal turned good guy then gives his life to defend his family when he is betrayed by the very people he was working with to make things right. Now doesn't that sound great.

3. The Walking Dead

Clementine and Lee pulled on our heart strings again and again throughout this episodic game that is not only a great story, but one of the best games I have ever played. And that ending....

2. Silent Hill 2

So a story that starts out with a simple letter that gets darker and darker and more and more shocking. It was really hard not to pick this for one, but I guess you will understand when you see what one is.

1. The Last of Us

So surprised? The best game ever made in my mind also has the best story. It is probably one of the very reasons I do consider it the best game ever made. Can't wait for the sequel.

There you have it this week's list. Agree or Disagree as always let me know in one way or another.

You Fail At Waiting For Games To Come Out If...

Fail Day! Yes, it is that time of the week again. You know the time where we decide to make ourselves feel better by making everyone else feel worse. Or in those times where we feel all awkward and start reading and realize it is about ourselves. Either way someone is entertained in the end so all is well and the universe is balanced.

You Fail At Waiting For Games To Come Out If...

  • You buy a game you really don't want just to pass the time
  • You install every game you own on Steam without any interest in currently playing any of them because you happen to know how much time it takes
  • Every conversation you have some how relates to "the game"
  • You have calendar reminder times for pre orders
  • You play the previous games in the series over and over
  • You need to "have a day" if a release date is changed
  • You watch TV spots for the game during your recorded shows
  • You are watching a TV Spot ad for what you are waiting for right now
  • You have the peripherals all ready to go on day 1
  • You already know the entire story of the game without even playing a single minute of gameplay
  • You have your chair waiting by the door ready to wait for a midnight launch
  • You have your gaming schedule for the year with how much time allotted for each game

And Finally

  • You are writing a blog about failing to wait for games

There you have it this week's edition of fail. Hope you all enjoyed it and your wait is slightly easier.

Hero Storm Pwnisher

See now wasn't that amusing?

Ask Gauss

Sunday, and Easter Sunday at that. Well that is if you celebrate Easter or if you even know what it is. I know most of the time I just assume everyone does exactly what I do, but apparently that is rude, so ya. Well regardless of that it is Sunday and besides watching Walking Dead and wondering why Game of Thrones is not on yet I have some questions to answer so here we go.

Why haven't you been talking more about Overwatch?

Well, because Blizzard is back to hating me and not giving me Beta access to things. Once the game is out though I will be all over it. Just a fun concept and reminds me back when I played way too much Team Fortress 2. Also just seems like a great game to play while taking a break from other games which is always a good thing.

So after reading you Reader Post it seems I am way beyond confused. What did that information come from?

The Chronicle books that Blizzard is putting out are there way of explaining the story so far and filling in the wholes that we as fans just assumed to know the answers to. In doing so after reading them they either had the idea of Void Lords the entire time or they changed what we were lead to believe. Now they didn't change any lore, but they just gave us information that we have never had access to before, which is a big deal. Now as we get the chronicles which is more of the the story that we have played through with various games this won't be the case.

Is Dark Souls III easy?

Really how troll is this?

There they are questions all answered for the week. Hope you all got something out of the answers in one way or another. To those celebrating Easter hope you have a great one, to those not well enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Void Lords Beyond Comprehension?

Friday, and Good Friday at that. Regardless though it is time for the Reader Post. This week there is a tad bit of Chronicle spoilers involved so if you have not read it and are planning to I would lay off the rest of this post. If not then you should keep on reading. So what is this post about? Well the Void Lords. Now there is a bit of an error in Coolguyry post in terms of the how and why Sargeras. Sure the Void Lords are responsible for who he is, but he was never corrupted. I left that in the post well because I can point out the error this way and seem smarter. Besides that though great read!

Ok, first things first: the void lords it seems are the *main* villains of the Warcraft universe (using the term *main* very lightly here of course), due to their supposed influence of Sargeras downfall, his corruption, his formation of the Burning Legion, and the destruction of the Pantheon. From my perspective it seems that the sheer amount of power that the void lords wield is absolutely terrifying. Their existence was considered a more grave and dangerous threat to the universe than the demons that Sargeras fought, and in turn caused him to ally with his former prisoners and to ultimately betray the Pantheon he once fought for.

Even though that previous paragraph sounds absolutely insane, well it's supposed to be. The void lords in their brief description seem to be depicted as unfathomable, unknowable, and indescribable. That's how fucking terrifying these void lords seem. Their vessels, their old gods, seem to be their corporeal vessels in which they are able to manifest their chaos in a stable state; the void lords on their own are probably completely consuming, all devouring, absolutely unfathomable. The void lords can in short be described as void incarnate.

Void lords also seem to be a very lacking term for their powers. Their sheer presence is more of that to dread gods than actual void lords. They are completely chaotic, insane, and unstable in their pure unhinged forms. Due to the fact they are able to utterly corrupt young Titan seed worlds and turn them into void lords, it also seems that their sheer power allows for them to never be truly eradicated. As stated the void lords are perhaps best summed up as void incarnate and due to the expanse of the Great Dark Beyond, perhaps their is something truly terrifying waiting out there in the unknown reaches of the Warcraft universe.

There you have it. What are your thoughts? Do you think the Void Lords are just beyond comprehension? Let's hear it.

Enjoy your weekend!

Change Is Not Needed

Thursday, now these are normally the times when i go off about something that is bothering me. Now truthfully nothing was really bothering me that much today. Well that was until something was. You know I have been saying for years that everyone has their own choice of games. They like certain styles and mechanics that just are better suited for their own personal enjoyment.

See right now you are nodding your head in agreement, don't lie I know you are. Sure there are those idiots that think the games they enjoy are the only games that exist. These people tend to be teenage males obsessed with their prestige and the fact that it is double xp weekend in the bew CoD game. Those people though are not who I am referring to. The ones I am raging at are the ones that want changes to games or series so they can be more to their liking. It is like that Reader Post a few weeks back when Hearthstone would be better if it was Magic the Gathering.

Sure to most real gamers we brush this off and get on with the more important things in our little world. Over the years though sometimes these tools have won out. We have seen games been ruined it drastically changed that we no longer enjoy them.

So why is this on my mind today? Well everything I have read against Dark Souls III today explains how the game would have been better if it took out this added that or changed this so it was more like this game or reworked that so the fans of this series could jump in. You know what the Souls series has plenty of fans hence why there have been 4 games, 5 if you want to include Bloodborne, and you know what? People like them.

They don't have to please the non players they probably will stay away anyway. Why would they alienate a community of gamers to make those not part of the community happy? Exactly so just shut up about

Super Happy Fun Times

Wednesday, the middle of the week and we are all wondering what we are going to do before we all are overly prepared to die playing Dark Souls III tomorrow. So with that in mind i decided to make this week's list about the hardest bosses in the souls series

Capra Demon - Dark Souls

This fight is like being trapped in a horror movie with no way to get out. I swear this must have given people nightmares.

Gwyn - Dark Souls

The Lord of Cinder brought out those people who always party up for bosses. Pretty sure my death count may have reached triple digits on this one.

Flamelurker -Demon's Souls

Now you may say just use phantoms to beat this guy and you are set with a little practice. If you try to fight him fair well then i wish you the best of luck.

The Four Kings - Dark Souls

So it starts out 1v1 and all is good but as the fight goes on the other spirits join the fray and then you get what many consider one of the hardest fights in the series.

Ornstein and Smough - Dark Souls

This isn't only the hardest fight of the series bur definitely the most memorable. It is all about the dance and keeping your timing down to a science. Also one of those that when you get it is always easier the next go, which is something i appreciate.

There you have it this week's list. What do you think? Agree or disagree as always let me know.

You Fail At Being Ready For Dark Souls III If...

Fail Day! Oh yes it is that time of the week again. This week it is slightly special because one of the favourite series is coming out with a new game, which is known for having people playing and failing. That is if you haven't guessed Dark Souls III which you will be able to get your hands on the 24th 2 days from now! So with that in mind let's get to the fail.

You Fail At Being Ready For Dark Souls III If...

  • You don't know the release date
  • You have no interest in the game
  • You expect to have your hand held
  • You have anger issues when you die
  • You think you are a badass who believes Souls games difficulty is overrated
  • You don't know about the new stances in the game
  • You think everyone you will play with will be nice
  • You believe you will always be warned before boss fights
  • You think the Devs care when you rage
  • You did not know there will be fewer maps than Dark Souls II, but the areas will be larger
  • You were not aware the combat will be more focused on speed and tactical decisions
  • You don't know what the gravestones are for

And Finally

  • You haven't played any of the souls games

There you have it this week's edition of fail. Hope you all enjoyed reading it as I did writing it. Happy Dying in a couple days!

Warcraft TV Spot

So anyone who is from around here knows I am a big Warcraft Lore buff. You also know that I am super excited to see it be brought to life in the movie on June 10th. The most recent TV spots have me ever more excited, which is why I am going to make sure none of you missed the most recent one for my Showcase this week. I will say though the best part of this spot is the shout out to the Warcraft III Reign of Chaos trailer. Made me remember the hours I waited for it to finish downloading.

Now aren't you pumped?

Ask Gauss

Sunday! Yes it is that time of the week once again. Also if you were not aware it is the last weekend of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Had to point that out because if I don't all of you Southern Hemisphere love to point it out to me. Enough of the blabbing though let's get on with why all of you are here today for and that is the questions.

So with the new Heroes Announcement do you think that we will see another Starcraft Hero again?

I think so and I hope it is Fenix just like everyone else does. Also hope at some point we get Swann and Karax at some point as well. Really though with the other hero I kind of hope to see a Starcraft themed map as well. Think it would add something to the game that is missing.

Opinions on Whispers of the Old Gods?

I am liking the card abilities. I think it adds some more strategy to the game where I think the last 2 expansions seemed to add luck through things being random. This can be fun to watch, but then can be extremely frustrating to play. Also will be interesting to see the card art for N'zoth and Y'Shaarj since we have never seen what they look like in Warcraft to begin with.

Really Bottlecaps?

Yes really.

There they are the questions for the week. Hope you all got something out of it in one way or another. Enjoy your last weekend of Winter/Summer wherever you are.

Need More Essence

So I was thinking of doingthe Reader Post today, but first of all I am hungover from yesterday, and second of all did you see who the new hero is in Heroes of the Storm!!!

You will need the Weekend just to think about this

Cross Platform

So I am not sure you are all aware, but something is happening which could change the way the gaming world works and really make console wars a thing of the past. Microsoft made the announcement that they are releasing cross platform games between the XBOX One and Windows 10. Also in the same announcement they talked about Cross-Platform networks with other consoles. This would be something gamers for years have been asking for, and Sony responded with this.

"PlayStation has been supporting cross-platform play between PC on several software titles starting with Final Fantasy 11 on PS2 and PC back in 2002. We would be happy to have the conversation with any publishers or developers who are interested in cross-platform play."

So when reading this your thoughts are...Yes. So people would be able to enjoy the games they enjoy on the system they want, which are exclusive, but then not have to make the choice to also not play with their friends. This is something that gamers know all too well.

Now I want to stress Sony didn't come out directly say that them and Microsoft would be allowing cross platform play with Microsoft. They just said they were open to the idea. There are many things to consider especially the xbox live and PSN problem and how that will be worked out. We still though should rejoice as gamers because this is a step in the right direction.

Shut Up And Take My...

It is Wednesday the middle of the week and we are finding ourselves here finding out what the list is going to be about this week. I figured after spending some money that there are quite different forms of currency throughout the gaming universe. So why not rank my favourites?

5. Gil - Final Fantasy Series

We are about to see the 15th game and every single one of them no matter the world has stuck to this form of currency. Also there is the whole thing throughout the games of the poking fun of "gold" as a form of currency which is always amusing.

4. Eridium - Borderlands 2

So it was an element which spread around after the events of the first game. Now people are just going about their lives spending it.

3. Studs - Lego Series

So who would have thought these games would be as popular as they are. Not only that they have remained consistent through the games, which is always impressive

2. Souls - Souls Games

So at first thought this is rather creepy, but then it makes you understand why death is so important in the series of games.

1. Bottlecaps - Fallout Series

People hanging on to their 1950s society with something so simple is pretty unique. Not to mention there was a guy who sent over 30,000 bottlecaps to Bethesda to pre purchase the game. Not only did they give it to him, but then they also have an awesome story to tell.

There you have it my favourite forms of currency throughout the gaming universe. What are yours? What do you think I should have included as always let me know!

You Fail At Accepting Death In Video Games If...

Fail Day! Yes it is that time of the week again. The day you realize just how much you may fail at something or just how much you enjoy poking fun at others for failing. Yes, isn't it a wonderful thing. Now for the topic. Well since we have Dark Souls III coming soon I figured it was a great time to talk about death in video games. So here goes.

You Fail At Accepting Death In Video Games If..

  • You don't play Hardcore Mode in Diablo
  • When you die in Diablo Hardcore you submit a ticket to have your character resurrected
  • All deaths are due to lag
  • You think games where you die a lot are bad, unfair, stupid, and dumb
  • You believe Beyond Two Souls got it right
  • You "need a minute" after characters die
  • You stopped playing Final Fantasy 7 after Aerith's Death
  • You instantly go to the forums to complain about poor story writing when people die
  • Your go to is "they are coming back"
  • When it is obvious they aren't coming back you move to "I hate this game"
  • You think the Legend of the Dragoon "approach" is a good one
  • You find yourself staring at the screen for extended periods of time
  • After your "staring period" you slowly get up and turn off the game

And finally

  • You don't want Game of Thrones
There you have it this week's edition of Fail. Hope you all enjoyed it. Happy Dying!

Starcrafts Legacy of the Void

Happy Pi Day Everyone! Yes it is that day where we celebrate the greatest number there is, but it is is also Monday which means it is time to showcase something for all of you. Now if you were not aware our friend over at Carbot Animations has released the Prelude to the new season of Starcrafts which is Legacy of the Void based so get ready!

And so it begins!

Ask Gauss

Sunday. If you are practicing Daylight Savings type, how goes your 1 less hour of sleep? Yes I know, I know you are grumpy because of it and you don't want to hear anymore about it. So why not get to more important things like the questions I am answering for the week. Yes let's do that.

So I know this is spoilerish, but did you see Nazgrim is going to be resurrected as a Death Knight?

Does seem like another Jon Snow moment happening. From what I have seen Darion does ask you to visit the grave of Nazgrim for the purpose of rebuilding the 4 Horsemen. Now this is kind of an interesting way to bring back a character who only died because of his honor(Wow Ned Starkish). So we will see Nazgrim in one way shape or form. So if he is 1 of the new Horsemen, who will the other 3 be? Interesting question indeed.

Are you or have you replayed the Uncharted games before the 4th comes?

I will probably do a run through to remember the smaller points to the story and to get the small little jokes that tend to happen from game to game within the series. Now do I think you will need to replay them? Probably not. The story is going to be a continuation that is for sure and the plot points of the previous games are pretty straightforward if you have played the games. I also assume like all the previous games the controls and everything will be reviewed from the get go so you won't have to worry about that either. Now that I think about it will probably just replay them cause Nathan Drake is awesome.

Dark Souls III is coming.

And so are many deaths.

There you have it this week's questions all answered. That you to everyone who sent something in if I answered it on here or not. I will get to your questions eventually. Enjoy your recovery from your hour of sleep lost.

It's A Bad Game Because I Don' Like It

So here we are on yet another Friday with yet another choice to make for this week's Reader Post. Now normally I like to pick posts which interest me or that I think would get interest from others. Sometimes though I get entries that just deserve to be read because they try to make arguments and points without actually stating what this exactly are. So that brings me to this week's post from Darkzone who thinks "Hearthstone is a Bad Game" why? well because he says so for reasons he doesn't want to fully explain. Enjoy!

I have many personal reasons why I don't like hearthstone, I don't believe significant amounts of RNG belong in a game, and I do think that that's one of the factors that makes it a bad game. Though I can understand the appeal to make it more casual/fun focused (why they embrace competitive play when they have cards purely relying on RNG is beyond me.)

The goal in MOST competitive card games is to make consistent decks that work no matter what you draw, as well as 'deck-fixing' by guaranteeing you get certain things. Cards like "Burnished Hart" from MTG being an example how how a game employs fixing.

You can also employ fixing in your own deck by putting more of a card, or specific type of card in your deck, and thereby reducing the extent to which RNG influences your games. So ultimately, card games are not about the RNG in the sense that we should embrace it, but in the sense that a good deck doesn't care about RNG. (Especially over a set of 3 games.)

My biggest gripe with hearthstone is the fact that the game just doesn't work. Card effects that seem like they should work together don't, and card effects that seem like they shouldn't work together do. The word "draw" means different things on different cards and the order selection of triggered effects may as well be random for how much control you have over it.

I don't really think you can call your game good when it doesn't even interact in ways that make sense based on card text or scenario, a lot of this comes down to thoughtless coding, no doubt, but it's a big deal and doesn't really make any sense to me.

So ya Hearthstone isn't MtG, and I like MtG so that makes Hearthstone a bad game because it isn't MtG. Makes sense eh? Have a good weekend!

I Choose Violence

So I watched the new Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer. If you haven't you really should get on that. If you don't watch Game of Thrones, then there is obviously something wrong with you and you need to get yourself checked out.

Now you may be asking what does Game of Thrones have to do with gaming. The answer is simple it has nothing to do with gaming. The point though is the scene I have above. It reminded me of something I will be feeling a lot of on the 24th of March. You know the day Dark Souls III comes out. That feeling of "oh shit" or "I'm dead" or "really..." To anyone who has ever played a Dark Souls game they know the feeling the feeling of helplessness when you know you are just screwed. Kind of thing happens in Diablo when you play Hardcore as well you know that "acceptance of death".

So really when I watched this trailer not only did it get me hyped for the new season of Game of Thrones, but it also brought back a ton of gaming memories weather they were go or bad. So look at that Game of Thrones isn't just awesome in itself it is awesome because it reminds me of other things! RIP to all those deaths and may they always be remembered.

So what about all of you? Have you watched something completely different and have it trigger memories of something else? Let me know in one way or another

Because Next Time I Will Kill Everyone

Well it is Wednesday and well that means it is time for a list. Upon thinking I realized something which troubles me. I have no super powers. So this got me thinking what super powers would I like? Then that trigger that would be a great idea for a list. Also thought I would have to exclude powers which are from already existing super heroes not from gaming. So now with all that explained here we go.

5. Hadouken - Ryu: Street Fighter Series

Who doesn't want to throw fireballs from there hands when they are pissed off. Plus you get to scream and scare the crap out of the person you are throwing it at.

4. Satan - Leah: Diablo III

So she is the child of Diablo and he eventually uses her as a vessel to reenter the world killing her, but while it lasted it was pretty cool wasn't it? She processed one of the prime evils powers of hell, which is kinda awesome

3. Inter-dimensional Travel : Elizabeth Bioshock Infinite

So she gives you potions and such, which already makes her kind of awesome, but then she also has the ability to tear into dimensions and enter others. Oh the fun I could have.

2. Invincibility - Mario: Super Mario Bros Series

So Mario can do a lot of things, but grabbing a star and being invincible for a set amount of time. Just think of all the random stuff I could do without a care in the world.

1. Spiritual Communication - Jody: Beyond Two Souls

So ya some people can talk to the dead or at least believe they can. It is another thing completely to control them and them do your bidding. Ya this puts bodyguards on a whole different level.

There you have it my list of powers wanted in order. What would you choose? As always let me know in one way or another.

You Fail At Guessing Why I Haven't Posted In A Couple Days If...

Fail Day! Yes it is here and you are probably wondering why you are missing your Ask Gauss Post and your Machinima Post. If you are wondering that you are not alone in your thinking. Now I have received quite the number of emails guessing and wondering what is going on. So I figured why not just make it a Fail Day. So here we go.

You Fail At Guess Why I Haven't Posted In A Couple Days If...

  • You assumed I died
  • You thought I quit blogging
  • You believe I finally ran out of ideas to talk about
  • You think I needed an idea for Fail Day so I stopped posting for 2 days to have one
  • You thought I received a threatening letter barring me from posting
  • You assumed I was Arrested
  • You filed a police report where you reported me missing
  • You thought I just got caught up in the game I was playing and didn't check the time
  • You were sure I wrote the posts just put the wrong day for posting
  • You just figured I went on vacation and just forgot to tell everyone about it
  • You assumed you missed something about me going on vacation
  • You thought my blogger account was hacked and you would have to go without
  • You thought I was quiting gaming

And Finally

  • I died and this isn't actually me posting

There you have it this week's edition of Fail. Hope you all enjoyed it, and keep guessing.

The Next Expansion

So here we are on a nice peaceful Friday wondering what to do with ourselves. Well I have just the answer, figure out what is in store with the Reader Post this week. It comes from Magik and his interesting thoughts on the next Diablo Expansion and what it will be about. Have a read it is quite interesting.

Have you ever thought what the next Diablo Expansion will be about?

I'm sure The End of Days prophecy is the key.

. . . And, at the End of Days, Wisdom shall be lost
as Justice falls upon the world of men.
Valor shall turn to Wrath -
and all Hope will be swallowed by Despair.
Death, at last, shall spread its wings over all -
as Fate lies shattered forever.

Wisdom shall be lost.

This is Malthael when the worldstone was destroyed. He went off, abandoned heaven and its status of angel of wisdom.

As Justice falls upon the world of men

Tyrael being a *%@!!%*% ripping its wings and falling like a meteor

Valor shall turn to wrath

Imperius being really mad at Tyrael and the Nephalem. He needs all the help he can have and still want to kick our !@#. We can also argue that this line describe how Imperius becomes crazy in the book "Storm of light". In fact, he only wants to murder every men, women and children.

All Hope will be swallowed by despair

Before reading the book, I thought it was when Rakanoth captured her. But, I feel this line is also tied with how Auriel acts in Storm of Light. We feel the corruption of the Black Soul Stone start altering her view of humanity. I wouldn't say she lost hope in humanity. But she changed for sure.
She doesn't see Tyrael as her equal anymore.

Death at last, shall spreads its wing over all

This is Malthael, the trailer is self explanatory :p.

as Fate lies shattered forever.

This is the interesting part. This event hasn't occurred yet. Itherael voted for humanity which means he's not our enemy (technically). Also, when demons stomp over the heaven, he seeks our help. Which means he has some kind of faith in humanity and knows we can be allies. According to the book of Cain (if I'm right), Itherael knows how the conflict will end. He always knew, it is written in the scroll of destiny.

But Itherael does not know the fate of human kind.
Something will happen, maybe it has already happened. Something tied with Ithereal and destiny. I don't think he'll go mad and try to destroy us, but the next expansion is tied with him.

So technically, if we want to find out what will, DIII-3, be about, we need to understand what "as fate lies shattered for ever" means. What is shattered? The scroll? Itherael itself? The black soul stone(not sure the link with Itherael tho) The destiny of both angel and demons. Like... nephalem become too strong and affect the balance of all things?

Well what do you think? I think this is pretty interesting and truthfully haven't thought too much about what the next expansion will bring, but this sure makes me.

Another Two Weeks

So I am not sure if you are all aware but this has happened...

The anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief's End release has been delayed two weeks

If you are like me then this is a blow. I have been excited to play this game for years ever since the first teaser trailer. Now two weeks isn't months and the reasoning for the delay actually makes sense. They don't think they have enough copies to go around so are taking the two weeks to make sure anyone who will want a copy will have a chance to get one, but instead on May 10th not the 26th of April. This also means Naughty Dog has some more time to find any bugs that might be in the game so in turn less patches for when we actually get our hands on it. So a slight plus side.

I know people will be saying this is a stall tactic and games that are delayed again and again tend to be big blunders when they finally get released. This doesn't have this sense and this delay is more of a manufacturing delay as opposed to a development one, which to me is a big difference. Naughty Dog has never let me down and I don't see them doing that anytime soon.

So while I am angry and wondering what I will be doing with my life for those 2 weeks which were booked for me to ignore humanity just have to be put off. I think I can handle a couple week's I really do.

Well here I go back to watching the trailer and crying when the release date pops up.

But I Have No Choice

Ever so excited to play a game because you know it is going to be great or you have heard great things? Then throw it in and realize that the prologue of the game is god awful. Know I know every game cannot have a prologue up to The Last of Us caliber, but those of this list are just plain awful, and all of them are great games.

5. The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings

So sometimes prologues are bad because you just aren't ready for anything in the game. Witcher 2 starts out with you remembering a siege. You are part of it with no combat training whatsoever and it can be tiresome and frustrating

4. The Ren and Stimpy Show: Time Warp

So there is nothing like having to collect something to progressin the game. Problem with this though is they don't tell you. If you fail to collect the required number your game is over and you start over. All the while you are unaware of the time constraint.

3. Assassin's Creed II

So I love this game as you may know. The fight scene and the running to meet Christina so tiresome and boring. You don't even realize the significance of the whole Christina visit really until you play through Brotherhood. I understand what they were doing, but this could have been done much better.

2. Kingdom Hearts II

Nothing like starting the game playing someone you weren't expecting and completing a much of mundane tasks and jobs. All so you can get into the action. Does anyone like doing this?

1. Heavy Rain

One of my favourite games starts off with you at home completely your daily routine. You get to brush your teeth, draw, and other exciting tasks. I understand this is to teach the player the controls, but it comes across as dull and boring, and I know some people just have stopped playing the game in general because of it.

There you have it my list for the worst Prologues in gaming. Agree or Disagree let me know as always.

You Fail At Being A Good Henchmen If...

So last week during my list I went and created a list based on who I thought were the best number 2s or Henchmen to their Big Baddie. So this got me thinking how can someone actually Fail at being a Henchmen? Well there are tons of examples all through gaming so let's get right to it.

You Fail At Being A Good Henchmen If...

  • You have to be resurrected multiple times
  • You explain your bosses plan to the hero
  • All you ever wanted to be was a Knight
  • You are sympathetic towards the Hero
  • You have no idea what you are fighting for/against
  • You flee when challenged
  • You are easily flipped
  • You are the comic relief
  • You are known as "that guy" years after people have played the game
  • Your name is either Biggs or Wedge
  • You kill people with butterflies
  • Everyone likes your twin better than you
  • You become a loot pinata

And Finally

  • You keep betraying your boss in order to be the Big Baddie

There you have it this week's edition of Fail. Hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.
