Gauss Memories

As promised today's post is a collection of stories I received where people remember events or things they have done with me. Some of these were a story as told to me so I have reworked the language so that they are being told to all of you rather than just myself. This seemed to work out pretty well so I might continue this as a weekly theme as the posts would be assembled by readers if I can find a topic to do every week. So getting down to it here they are.

So let me first say I never liked you I thought you were just some ass who spammed trade and didn't know anything about what he was doing. In fact I actually had Gauss on ignore, but since I was going on a For The Horde run with him I temporarily took him off. So I was actually impressed with his ability to keep everyone together. He acted like an ass, but I will admit it made me laugh, so i figured that was the point of it. We killed all the leaders with ease and after we killed the king in Ironforge Gauss said we were going to kill whatever we killed in the city till they stopped us. We ran around the entire city killing NPCs and even the Gnome king. Of course we lost a lot of people because the whole achievement thing was done with, but there was at least 20 of us left. We then went to the auction house and bank area and kept killing them. An alliance raid did show up and we started to get overwhelmed. Everyone was dying including myself when I saw Gauss fighting on. He could have ran off put he didn't was something to see. This was when someone in the raid gave him a DI. Everyone else in our raid was dead and here he was with a DI surround by at least 40 alliance most likely more. So what does he do? He yells Pi drops the DI and trys to fight them all. It was awesome and I couldn't believe it. I didn't ignore him again after the raid and now I read his blog everyday.

Back in the the days when battlegrounds first came around I played on a WSG team with Gauss. It was great fun and I was glad to be apart of it. We used to win every game we played, and this was when Gauss decided to have some fun. Being a tailor for some God knows why reason he made the entire team Simple Black Dresses. We were going to play WSG using only these and our weapons. We proved we had the skill to beat anyone that night. We even beat premade after premade in the dam dresses. I remember being on Teamspeak at the time laughing my ass off because of how funny it was. It was a great memory and still is thanks Gauss.

I worked for Gauss during the high time of the emporium. I don't think anyone else could have did what Gauss did. Of course people always have those trade channel macros, but Gauss took it to the next level. Boomstick imports a shop I had no idea existed became the place where all the fun was in WoW. He had dancers like dancers that he would pay to just dance the entire time. We had a doorman and sellers that would all be in tuxedos. He would be there standing on the platform and people would come in like it was an actual shop to buy shards and other enchanting mats. It was really the best thing I have ever seen in a video game. Not to mention I earned a ton of gold from it as he shared the profits with all of us. I still think Boomsticks should be renamed, and even when we all opened those tickets to have it done so and asked to take it to the suggestion forums it was still Gauss' Emporium to all us workers. I hope Gauss does something like this again it was a lot of fun, and could make this game a lot more fun again.

So I was looking at my friends list one day when I saw Gauss was heading to Stormwind and could only be up to trouble. So of course I messaged him to see what was going on. This was when he told me he was escorting a level 1 to the tram. When I asked him why he only said because his name was "Bobofthetram". The plan was to take this level 1 troll and have him chill out in the the tram for reasons unknown to me, Gauss, and even the guy whose toon it was. Lets just say this wasn't the easiest task, and when I joined the group and suggested we just summon him I shot down by them saying "what would be the point in that?". So Bob kept dying obviously and we try to clear a path so when he kept running back or getting rezed he could get that much further. It took us about an hour but we got him in there and being on vent for this was pretty dam funny. Bob was going absolutely nuts every time he died that no one was protecting him. I know I tried once but having like 50 guards run towards him at once made it pretty impossible. So what did we do when we got him in there? We danced for like 2 minutes and then we were done. LOL all that work and we were done. Only Gauss would do something so pointless and make it so much fun.

Before PVP was really big in this game. This was before battlegrounds before even honor people just did it for fun. There was always these random attacks at the Crossroads and at the time I was leveling there. So the first time I met Gauss was on one of these days. There was a battle going on outside and the horde were obviously out numbered. I couldn't do any of my quests because all the NPCs were dead so I joined in. These was when I saw this massive line of horde coming in on the flight path. I had never seen so many horde at once and they all ran to the rest of the group up front. There was so many of them I started lagging. This was when general channel started going off "Gauss is here". I had no idea who Gauss was, but then looking around all these horde were in "The Army of Gauss". This was when Gauss rode up and I saw my first Epic Mount. He was in full valor armor and at the time it looked pretty dam sweet. He started giving everyone instructions and telling people how to group. I remember hearing "We will beat them back till they are running to their town in Ashenvale". Everyone followed him and we beat thme back like nothing and we did just what he said chased them all back to ashenvale where we took their city. My first taste of pvp and it was awesome.

Remember when outside Orgrimmar was the place were everyone was always dueling? Well I remember being out there watching people dueling and there was this warrior there who thought he was something. That was when I saw Gauss coming out from Org and heading to the zeppelin. When this guy called Gauss out saying that he was nothing and complete overrated. Gauss stopped instantly got off his mount and heading straight towards him. That was when Gauss said "Prove it". The warrior put the duel flag down when Gauss said "hold a sec I have to change my weapon". Didn't Gauss put on his High Warlord Staff. The caster staff I was laughing so hard. The best part was the duel wasn't even close Gauss owned his face. The guy of course started complaining saying he was lagging and all this crap. When Gauss said "we can go again, but I get to change my weapon". He agreed and thinking Gauss was going to put his High Warlord Sword back on he did put a sword but it was a "feeble sword" and it was enchanted with crusader. It was a level 1 grey item. I thought wtf was he doing. Then again Gauss owned his ass again and this time everyone was standing around laughing at him. Let us say everyone who was there new then you could play

So I was in a BWL run with Gauss. When the guy who was running it started to master loot everything. Saying he was in a twink 60 guild and no 80 needed the gear when they did. This was true, but when this guy was advertising he said come get your old school gear. So Gauss did what only Gauss could do. He had a sitting process saying if he wanted to be a 60 twink guild they could kill the bosses without the help of 80s. It was at Ebonroc and Gauss along with everyone who was joining him sat in the back of the room watching everyone die. All the twinks kept getting owned and were begging for us to help them. No one did and we watched them all die. That was when Gauss took him just tanked him. Not killing him and just got heals. His protest turned into a joke making fun of the idiot 60 twinks. So we didn't kill the boss just kept him alive and laughed at all those who were dead. I was laughing so hard and them crying and being emo. They ended up removing us all and couldn't finish the instance. Gauss finished it later that night with the twinks bitching at him about it crying that we stole their instance. I still laugh about this now Gauss cheers to you!

Before Cross Realm Battlegrounds Gauss had this epic trash talk on the forums with another warrior named Skinfaxi. The difference between them was simple. Gauss was awesome and she was horrible. She was running one of the best alliance teams, but were always accused to using glitches and such. Gauss called her and her team out on the forums and it became this crazy back and forth. They denied it and denied it. Gauss said he wasn't going to play them anymore and cause them to miss their games. Forgoing all the honor they needed to move up in the ranks. When the day that Gauss gave them another shot because he was sick and tired of saying he was dodging them. This was when Gauss caught their cheating on video. They had capped the farm and the blacksmith before the gates even opened in AB. He posted the video on the forums and everyone went off on Skinfaxi and no horde teams besides pugs were going to play against them. Let this be a lesson to everyone to believe Gauss.

I will never forget when we were doing 10 man ulduar and the tank died on steelbreaker Gauss picked him up and tanked all 3 of them! Of course I know this had a lot to do with the healers, but we all know the tank gets the credit when the boss dies and the healer gets blamed if the tank dies. This was really the best thing I have seen in all of Ulduar and I would love to see another tank pull this off.

Of all the epic things I have ever seen Gauss do it was in Blackwing Lair and killing that felguard. Everyone dc'd and came back dead besides Gauss. He came back on alive and there was an enraged fel guard up. Everyone on vent was trying to get him to try and kill it. Mostly because how was it fair he was the only one who didn't die. Course you didn't turn down the challenge and I think we were all amazed at when you did the impossible and killed it. Even if Motzkin gave you a little help.

I actually have the video of this

So I am sorry if your story or memory was not one of the 10. I actually think this post was too long doing 10 so maybe next week when I think of a topic it will be down to 5. Anyways I hope to give you all more stories we can all talk about when this game we all spend too much time playing is done with.
