Things I Miss

So this is for all the people who either had a chance to play when these things were going on, or for all the others to realize the fun they missed.

40 Man Scholo: Ah yes the days when you could bring 40 people anyway, and the days when 5 mans were actually a challenge. This one so much so that you could bring 40 people and they would wipe. Those poison clouds were a lot of fun with all those people weren't they?

Summon In Combat:The fun we used to have with this. This was so bugged at one point that you could summon someone who had aggro on the boss and the boss would come with the summon. Nothing like fighting instance bosses in Orgrimmar.

Doomguard: I have been over this before, but when you used to help someone summon this one person who helped summon would randomly die. The fun that was had was priceless.

The Fear Bomb: Intimadating Shout used to fear everyone in range and not just 5 people. It was called a Bomb because the warrior would charge in and fear everyone scattering them all about and breaking the lines in world pvp. Or was often used to take the bridge from the alliance in AV when they used a heavy defence strat.

Snowballs: When these first came out you could pelt someone over and over and knock them down. So there they were running through town and BAM! down they went. You could also use them to stop someones casting, for instance on the flags in AB. There was nothing better than an all out snowball pelting of someone in Orgrimmar. Blizzard should do us all a favour and bring this back.

No Hinterlands Graveyard: If I had to level here as a warrior and run back from Tarren Mill anyone who levels now should have to go through the same pain and suffering. That is all.

In Game Casinos: Who cares if they promoted gambling it was fun stuff to watch people waste all their gold. Not to mention betting on the races in the Shimmering Flats at least people would still go there if this was still happening.

When Bottomless Bags Were Bottomless: So when I got this pattern it was the reason I became a tailor and I am one still today just because Warrior Tailors are full of win. So for all you clueless types Bottomless Bags were 16 slotters, but the bottom 2 slots could have stackable items to an infinite amount. So hunters could stack unlimited bullets, herbies could have infinite herb stacks, Bandages by the hundreds and only taking up one slot in your bag! Who cares if this was Overpowered it was awesome.

Captain Placeholder: So the boat from Auberdine to Menethil was bugged and people would randomly get kicked off and die in the ocean. Funny stuff, but blizzard put in Captain Placeholder to teleport you from one port to the other he even transported horde! Anyways he was so popular there is even a song which was released by Cranius http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2xuO8JBepM&feature=channel

and

World PvP

for this I decided I would write an account of an event which was pretty epic on Llane. Since people enjoyed the story of Gauss I figured this would fit nicely

So I had just gotten my full Valor Set I wanted to Celebrate so I called The Army to the Crossroads. The Army assembled about 200+ of us lagging the Crossroads to hell and everyone wondering what I was up to. I came to the conclusion that we would kill everything in our path on the way to Darnasuss mostly because everyone said the leaders couldn't be killed. Lets be clear here not everyone in the mass of people here was Level 60 in fact there was maybe only 10-15 level 60s at most.

So we head North through the barrens the entire time walking and killing everything in sight. When we made our way into Ashenvale we took the path into Astranaar and killed everything in sight. Quest givers flight masters, vendors everything. Remember at this point in time respawn timers were extremely long for these types of NPCs so what we did would get noticed.

We continued the march into Darkshore again destroying anything in our path you could see the mass death behind us. We even had many join us along the way wondering what we were doing. When we got to Auberdine we made sure to kill every NPC once again along with some of the alliance resistance we were now getting. The shear numbers I had behind me regardless of their level made us pretty unstoppable and we cut down packs of packs of unorganized alliance. We headed down the docks and hopped on the boat to Darnasuss.

Upon arriving in Rut'theran Vilage I started getting whispers from alliance toons wonder what I was doing. I told them we were heading to the city and were going to take it over. We again eliminate every NPC in Rut'theran and then made our way to the portal. When we entered the portal we had company but again these 20-30 people was nothing compared to the 250+ we must have had along with the lag we brought with us. There was skeletons all over the place. Also remember at this point in the game guards didn't respond if you killed the NPCs that called them. The city was getting overrun by horde. We headed to the Temple of the Moon to which everyone thought our path of destruction would end, but it didn't. No one on the server had taken down a Leader at this point and we had no idea what to expect, but when Tyrannde went down even though we may have lost 40-50 people it was a minor dent in our numbers.

At this point the alliance had built up a much stronger resistance, but we still out numbered them and were much more organized. Especially when we were summoning more people from the guild at this point. The lag was completely stupid at this point there must have been 600+ people in the temple alliance and horde. They all were kill though and we then went through the entire Night Elf city killing any alliance that came back and rezed along with all the NPCs.

In about 30minutes all the NPCs were dead and AoG were the only ones left standing in Darnassus we had taken the city killed everything. The kept coming to try and take it back but they could build a force at all. I had people waiting by the spot where people arrived by mage portal or when they came off the boats. Thre was basically no Alliance whatsoever in Darnassus for a good couple hours. That was until we had summoned so much Horde to party with us in what we renamed Gaussville we crashed the server and lets just say when we were able to get back on we were just a tad overrun by alliance and NPCs and were easy to be picked off.

That is not the point though. This was world PvP at its best. They knew we were coming and we walked there the whole way from the Crossroads killing everything. Nothing like this could ever happen again.

So those are the things I miss. Is there anything I missed be sure to let me know. Also to note this Saturday I have been asked by some guildies to run a Sunwell if I can get enough non fail people I will go. If you tell me you are non-fail you probably are fail so don't bother saying so. Normal time just look for me around then.
